Quantity, demand, control

With TeDaLoS you keep an eye on everything

Quantity

Do you stock products that are resource-intensive to record and retrieve? Manual inventory checks occupy several employees for many days, during which daily business should not be disrupted. In particular with small parts and granulates, precise counting is not possible. In production operations, an inventory check in the warehouse is not able to record the proportion of materials currently being consumed on the production lines. Imprecise results and theoretical assumptions based on historical values were until now the only solution. With TeDaLoS you can do more! With immediate effect, you not only record your goods in packaging units but instead by individual item, even if an item only weighs a few grams. This gives you a real-time insight into the consumption of materials rather than simply a series of snapshots. Do our everyday examples sound familiar to you?

Monitoring of B and C components

Nuts & Bolts & Co. – especially with C components, it is easy to lose sight of the big picture. What do you still have enough of, and where should more be ordered from? The purchasing processes are much more costly than the product itself. Indirectly, a bottleneck can become expensive as a result of delays and manual backup purchasing processes. You no longer need to worry yourself about things of this kind once you have TeDaLoS working for you! Electronic Kanban system and active sensors monitor the material flow and storage location.

Operating materials/auxiliaries

Packaging materials are often “indirect materials”, with little focus in the purchasing department. Voluminous material mean that only a small quantity can be stored. In addition, these material groups are stored scattered around the company premises, meaning that it is not possible to keep a constant eye on stock levels. Despite the low material values, a lack of availability can block your orders. Without suitable packaging material or even customer-specific printed cardboard boxes, deliveries cannot be made.

Modern sensor technology at the storage location directly connected to the TeDaLoS stock level dashboard informs you or your supplier before a bottleneck occurs.

Chemical raw materials

Chemicals are stored in various conditions (liquid, granular, powder) and containers (sacks, Big Bags, cannisters, IBC, etc.). Opaque packaging makes it difficult to identify the remaining contents. The manual recording of removals from and returns to stock is not a seamless process. A universal solution for heterogeneous goods needs to be found, which includes measurement of the old materials collection. TeDaLoS functions simply: It shows you the fill level and amount in stock for each of the goods units in real-time and issues an alarm to you before it is too late to respond.

Demand

The TeDaLoS system solution combines a wide variety of technical logging technologies in a universal and protocol-open manner in order to supply data from the warehouse + production supply in real time. Different technical systems can be used to record stock levels for different material groups. The TeDaLoS Smart Inventory Monitoring System offers all standard workflows for demand recognition in one dashboard. (see here, which technical methods are typical? – > Technology)

Automate demand recognition and supply management

open storage
(unmanned store)

Whether production-relevant material, consumables for maintenance or material for patient care in hospitals. In warehouse situations where material should be freely accessible to users, discrepancies arise between actual and theoretical target stock levels. The use of mobile data collection devices (MDC, handheld scanners) usually proves to be impractical for the user due to a lack of time, low understanding of handling devices or poor knowledge of the processes. Automatic stock level sensors solve the problem and ensure the triggering of replenishment processes and analysis of consumption history by connecting to the TeDaLoS platform.

KANBAN

Modern Kanban systems rely on wireless detection of the KANBAN signal. A wide variety of detection technologies are possible, depending on the material or downstream process. From RFID labels in the multi-bin Kanban cycle (e.g. on small load carriers), Kanban cards for plug-in card boards, digital call buttons or active sensors at the storage location. Regardless of which methods or system manufacturers you use, the TeDaLoS platform understands all technologies and universally maps the Kanban workflows, including the linking of RFID chips or device IDs with your material, cost center, packaging/container filling quantity and automatic replenishment alarms.

Vendor-managed inventory (VMI)

Would you like to use technologies to provide warehouse management services for your customers? The TeDaLoS connection of hardware technologies saves you, as a material supplier, costly IT integration projects and eliminates the need to be tied to a single device manufacturer. The software platform enables you to manage users online, synchronize customer hierarchies and article master data, analyse data, trigger repeat orders and use standard APIs in your ERP system. You decide whether your customers have access to the online dashboard in your corporate design.

Control

What use is the most attractive portfolio of technology for your application of automatic stock level recording and demand detection/ and reporting if you constantly require a great effort from technical experts to operate various solutions? With the TeDaLoS Smart Inventory Monitoring Platform, even non-experts can monitor the technical function and check additional data on localization, energy supply and data connectivity. So that your solutions do not end up as individual technical silos.

Cross-technology administration and monitoring with TeDaLoS

Globus
Wireless sensors and displays

The global variety of “smart devices” is growing rapidly, IoT (Internet of Things) sensors and devices are increasingly wireless. Function, data protocols and data structure are very different. The TeDaLoS platform handles device management, monitoring of wireless network components and the automatic conversion of sensor readings to the semantics of materials management and universally understandable device vital data. The easy assignment to material master data also activates ongoing synchronization back to the device, e.g. to the display of a smart eInk display (ESL, electronic shelf label, ePaper label).

process-reliable eKANBAN

In Kanban logistics processes, the technical infrastructure for recording Kanban IDs or triggering replenishment by sensors must be highly available. The TeDaLoS platform includes alarms if the network or devices do not report as planned or if error messages are transmitted. Individual filters and blocking times for devices can be defined to eliminate RFID double readings. The integrated workflows for assigning IDs to customer/cost center/material and quantity enable simple data connection to your materials management system, both for order entry and material shipment acknowledgement.

Access control

Items for MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) and material whose consumption must be logged on an order-related basis are often stored in dispensing and cabinet systems with access authentication, e.g. using chip card readers. TeDaLoS enables cross-device and GDPR-compliant management of chip IDs to control access to dispensing systems (e.g. various vending machines) for your employees and the employees of your customers. The TeDaLoS platform makes the separation of rights and therefore your compliance easy. Separate administration for access to the online software, data interface of IT systems and administration of identification cards for access secured storage systems.
